Bill Dillon VE3KWX, SK

From Nigel VE3ID:

I was very sad to hear of the death of Bill Dillon, VE3KWX last week.

As many of you will know, Bill was the one person who brought us all together to actually get the micro controller project finished. We had been floundering for years with a little bit of this and a little bit of that but he showed the value of having a true project manager.

Bill and I had dinner almost every week for years at Chapters Restaurant and Book Store at Yonge/Eglinton (not the one that became !ndigo), and he helped me with advice (and his company's wholesale discount) to re-wire a whole house that belonged to my Danish landlady.

Unfortunately I lost contact with him when I went to England for a year in 1993. His IC listing showed at a place in Harvard Avenue in Toronto, but lately I discovered that he had been living with his brother in Haliburton.

During the time that I was close to Bill, I discovered that he had suffered chronic pain throughout his life, and had turned to Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to help. I just fished an index card from my desk that he gave me, and on it he wrote the titles of some books about NLP for me to read, ending with the statement "I wish you a pain free life, see you on the other side."
