CANWARN Storm Spotter Training Announcement no. 4

My thanks to the hundreds that have already attended CANWARN training sessions across southern Ontario. The session in Whitby for this evening has been sold out for some time, a testament to the interest in the program in that area and the promotion done by Durham Region staff. The Uxbridge session next week on May 8th now has an Eventbrite site for registration and you can find it below. In addition, a training session has been added for the afternoon of May 28 in Brampton, more details and the site to RSVP to can be found below.

My thanks also to one of our summer students who has diligently added all of the new members to the CANWARN database. As I mentioned to the many who have attended a session already, please find attached a list of useful websites and books to help reinforce the material covered during the training. (see below)

Due to a bit of a staff crunch this summer, there won’t be any training sessions in northwestern Ontario this year. However, we plan to be back to the Northwest next spring.

As mentioned in previous announcements, if you don’t find specific RSVP instructions at the venue you are interested in below then please RSVP to me at
