Subject: CANWARN Training Spring 2017 Announcement No. 5

Folks, we are now more than halfway through the spring 2017 training schedule. Attendance continues to be very good at all of the venues. Unfortunately, due to a scheduling conflict, we have had to cancel the session planned in Sault Ste. Marie for May 31st. I have sent out a note to the people that I had listed as RSVPing to this event but may have missed a few, so hopefully you will see this message.
In addition, those that live in the area covered by the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority (which covers an area from south of Georgian Bay into the southern part of the Bruce Peninsula), this Conservation Authority is looking for those that may be interested in joining the CoCoRAHS volunteer precipitation observing network (discussed during the CANWARN training). If you live in a location where the Conservation Authority is looking to fill a gap, the Conservation Authority will pay the CoCoRAHS registration costs. Those interested can contact John Bittorf at
Please also find attached the list of useful websites/apps/books and a reporting tip sheet as discussed in the presentations.
